Task Force objectives and activities:

The Task Forces are future-focused, centred around how universities and businesses can better collaborate to help resolve some of the most intractable challenges we face on climate change, new energy sources, the future of engineering and life-sciences, the digital and creative economies and financial services.

Areas of focus:

  • Digitising the Future – Creative & Digital Task Force
  • Engineering the Future – Engineering and Manufacturing Task Force

The other task forces will be launched throughout the next eighteen months and cover topics such as: sustainability and the low carbon economy; bio-pharma and regenerative medicine; and rebuilding the financial services sector.

Task Force composition and meetings:

  • Each Task Force will comprise up to fourteen members, and will be supported by a broader experts’ network and a team of strategy managers.
  • We anticipate that the Task Forces will meet about three times in the next twelve months to work out the key issues with graduate talent and collaborative research. In between meetings, the CIHE team and the experts’ network will provide the evidence base on which the Task Forces will deliberate.

We look forward to your active involvement as we consider opportunities for greater collaboration between universities and businesses through these Task Forces.
