The CIHE's Workforce Development Forum aims to provide an opportunity for key representatives from business, higher education and Government to exchange views and influence the evolution of workforce development at higher education level. It has a particular focus on business issues and the learning needs of employees and employing organisations as they seek to engage with higher education. It provides a network for:
helping to develop an agreed agenda on issues that affect business and HE
through sharing knowledge, especially on the current activities of the participants, and
discussing new policy developments and emerging good practice
and acting as an advisory board for CIHE project work.
Meetings will be arranged approximately twice a year. More frequent communications within
the network will be by email and via a proposed dedicated section on CIHE's website.
Our latest report on Workforce Development can be ordered online or downloaded (free) from the Publications section of our website.
Members are drawn from CIHE business member organisations, key Government departments
and agencies (DfES, HEFCE, SSDA), sector and professional bodies (SSCs) and academics
working in this field. Click the link on the left to view our latest membership.
