Canary Wharf, London

Our final report of the Developing Entrepreneurial Graduates project, produced in collaboration with NESTA and NCGE, will be launched at this year’s International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference in the heart of one of the world's iconic business districts, London’s Canary Wharf.

Over two full Conference days – Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th September – Enterprise Educators UK (EEUK) and the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship (NCGE) will deliver a rich international line-up of speakers, and great opportunities for delegate participation through workshops, poster sessions and a live competition.

To view the conference programme and reserve your place visit www.ieec.co.uk or contact the NCGE office on +44 121 503 3239. Last year places were sold out in advance of the event so book early and avoid disappointment!

A wide array of interactive workshops have been finalised and will be led by entrepreneurship educators from throughout the UK as well as from European, US and Canadian universities. Full details are available on the conference website.

Members of EEUK are entitled to a substantial discount, and there is also a limited number of discounted conference places available for those currently on the International Entrepreneurship Educators Programme (IEEP). We hope you can join us in London for IEEP 2008.

Leadership in an Age of Supercomplexity

29-30th January 2008

Just as universities are becoming more business-like, so businesses are becoming more knowledge-centred. This, the fifth joint consultation on the values of higher education, organised between St George's House, Windsor Castle, the Council for Industry and Higher Education (CIHE) and the Society for Research in Higher Education (SRHE) will focus on:

  • The impact on UK universities, in terms of styles and philosophies of management and leadership, of business concepts and the impact of new governance arrangements;
  • Ways in which the cross-pollination of ideas and experiences can be shared between higher education and business;
  • Leadership in both the business and HE sectors in an age of ‘supercomplexity’ where both sectors face global competition, radical organisational change and pressure to manage and lead their organisations in times of uncertainty and complexity.

St George's House, Windsor Castle
